Marguerite Tortorello is the Managing Director of the Insurance Careers Movement and President of Tortorello Communications Company. From the White House to corporate America, Marguerite Tortorello is an executive communications powerhouse and is a champion of the insurance industry.

As Managing Director of the grassroots Insurance Careers Movement, Marguerite helps drive strategic planning and execute initiatives with the 850 plus global insurance carriers, brokers/agents, trade associations, industry partners, and media organizations that have come together to inspire young professionals to choose insurance as a career.

As President of Tortorello Communications Company, Marguerite works with clients on executive communications, strategic positioning, crisis communications and reputation management, and social media strategies. She is a frequent speaker for Board meetings, conferences, and employee development meetings.

Marguerite was honored to serve as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and work in the White House. Marguerite is passionate about communicating with the public and helping people in times of need. She served in the Administration during 9/11, the war on terror, and Hurricane Katrina.

After the White House, Marguerite worked for the Allstate Insurance Company in Corporate Relations. Next, Marguerite joined PCI, the Property Casualty Insurers Association as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs. During her tenure at PCI, Marguerite worked on the 2008 financial crisis and was named the PR News “2010 Public Affairs Professional of the Year” for her efforts in highlighting the strength and stability of the insurance industry. Marguerite also worked on issues related to global financial security, natural catastrophes, the sharing economy, and reputation management. Marguerite helped form the Insurance Careers Movement with other key insurance stakeholders to help engage the next generation workforce.

Marguerite began her career as a Special Education teacher. Marguerite served on the Executive Board of the Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and is proud that she helped create a partnership with Tri Delta and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. By harnessing the collective power of Tri Delta members, Tri Delta has raised more than $55 million to help cure children’s cancer.

Previously, Marguerite was a marathon runner and now she is running after her six-year old twin daughters. Marguerite, her husband Tony, and daughter’s Sophia and Stella reside in Chicago, IL.
